THE TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Cairo - Alexandria

Start your tour by driving the Desert Road to Alexandria. This second largest city in Egypt was built by Alexander the Great Upon arrival in Alexandria,

 

visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoafa as an example of the city blend of Greco-Roman and Egyptian styles,

 

Lunch on route. Next, visit the newly open Alexandria Library In antiquity, the library at Alexandria was the largest and most important library in the world.

 

Visit to the Pompey pillar in Alexandria View from the outside the Fort and Citadel of Qait Bay. Built in the 15th century by sultan Ashraf Qait Bay It now houses a navel museum.

 

Enjoy your visit to the Montaza Gardens, at the eastern end of Alexandria, stretching along the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by the Royal Summer Palaces of the former King Farouk.

 

Later we drive to your selected hotel in Alexandria.

 

Day 2: Alamein - Cairo

After Breakfast Drive Approximately 65 miles from Alexandria visit the famous battlefield, Alamein, the site of the famous battle between Rommel and Montgomery. There, British, German and Italian Cemeteries and the 2nd W. W. Museum.

 

Drive back to Cairo.
